    About Me

I grew up globally. Literally. So I have a love for many, many various foods. My favourites, though, are the ones cooked for me by friends in their homes.

I love also love music, photographs, books (I really love antiquarian bookshops), films....

I am learning the cello. I hope someday that will sound like music, ha ha!

    Favorite Foods

Vietnamese, anything with noodles and fragrant broth, especiialy a good pho.

Japanese, croquettes of any sort! Nabeyake udon...

Phillipino, beef and rice, little dried fishies...

Mexican, gosh I love mol? so much! And fresh homemade little white corn tortillas.

I am a gumbo fanatic, both roux based and tomato based (please be patient and cook the roux VERY dark!) Cornbread is so yummy and I love really good red beans and rice, and my friend's Frito pies, wow!

Risotto. All kinds. Fennel and prawn, tomato and pepper, so many things to do with risotto.

Cakes and pastries in Germany and Austria, I have a lot of pastry chef friends there now! (but I am not a great baker!)

I loved the sour pan breads my friend Shilpa used to make, and her kulfi is beyond belief.
