    About Me

I'm a homeschooling mom of 4 beautiful ladies. My husband is in the Navy and currently working on his PhD so life is busy but never too busy to work my magic in the kitchen. We eat as healthy as we can and it is admittedly a bit of an obsession and source of pride for me. My true heart, though, is in being a servant to my family and serving my Lord with all of my being. I run a small cake business out of my house although it's been a bit stagnant since we've moved. We are also involved in the local community theatre.

I get my inspiration from "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally O'Fallon and the website www.kellythekitchencop.com as well as recipes from the king arthur flour website.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods, hands down are chocolate chip cookies and french fries and I've been known to eat them together. When my dh was deployed I found this wonderful recipe for "healthy" chocolate chip cookies using whole grains, oats, flaxseed, honey, coconut oil and dark chocolate. I would make it and call it a meal--served with a little natural peanut butter made it even better. Obviously, that was a sometimes food (said in my best cookie monster impression) but it was delicious non-the-less. :)
