Reviewed Kelly's Crock Pot "smoked" Beef Roast or Brisket

"As others have noted, this is an AMAZING technique; the meat was tender and cooked just perfectly at 3-4lb for 3 hours on high and 4 hours on low). Based on feedback in the reviews I was nervous about the liquid smoke (I use a concentrated brand to begin with!) so I only used 3 DROPS --- it was plenty for us. I used worcestershire, but could do wit..."

    Reviewed Vanilla Pound Cake

"With just 4 eggs and light eggnog rather than milk, this is a Christmas favorite! LOTS of nutmeg and cinnamon make it perfect for our house. Thanks for an easy recipe. (dark bundt pan = 65 min @ 350)"

    Reviewed Pumpkin Spice Bread

"Loved it! Great flavor, and worked well in full size (50 min) and mini loaf (30-35 min) pans. For us, this quantity made 2 regular and 1 mini loaf (the mini is like the baker's 13th at our house!) I added raisins and chopped Honeycrisp apple and the first 2 batches I cut the sugar to 2 cups, which worked out great. The third batch I cut the sugar ..."

    Reviewed Olive Oil Mashed Potatoes

"Nothing wrong with these... but nothing spectacular either. I used some of the best Greek EVOO available (it is phenomenal!), which is why I wanted to try them for Easter dinner. MEH. They were just okay. No reason not to make my regular ones with sour cream, chives, and bacon. Thanks, though... the whole reason I have been a member of Zaar all the..."

"Roasted carrots... they are what they are... and these were as good as any. Thanks!"

    Reviewed Honey Roasted Squash Rings

"Loved these... wish I could make them a bit less sweet, but I think they'd lose all of the best parts! Thanks for the recipe!"

    Favorite Foods

My family loves food. I am Greek and married to a Mexican. We have such fabulous flavors (not to mention family and friends!) from our heritage that it's sometimes hard to move outside.

We both enjoy curries, and Gato loves sweets!
