I'm a Bay Area native, born and raised! So far, I've been a "professional student", but I am in my last year of graduate school so hopefully I can give up that title. When that ends and my real life begins, I will be a forensic psychologist. I enjoy working with juvenile offenders and other out-of-control teenagers, and hope to continue this line of work in my future. As of yet, I do not have a favorite cookbook, but I do enjoy several of the hundreds we seem to have! For the first time in my life, I actually enjoy cooking and am always looking for new recipes. This joy developed mostly when my fiance and I moved in together, giving me a real reason to cook something! Strangely enough, I hate the feel of raw meat and will not touch it without gloves. This makes my experiences in the kitchen all the more interesting.
Lately I've been into cooking anything I can in the crockpot. I like to cook meals that are easy and time efficient, as our schedules keep us pretty busy and we are usually making last minute dinner decisions. But I'm always interested in learning something new to cook. I am not yet famous for any dish that I have made, but my fiance did say that my meat loaf was better than my mother's. I guess I've accomplished one life-long dream. I love sushi, but nothing with raw fish. (I know, I know. That's not really sushi.) I love yogurt, fruit, and anything else thats sweet. Lately, I've had a thing for cottage cheese sprinkled with honey. I think my favorite restaurant is Vivace, a lovely little Italian place close to our apartment where the food is so good there are no words that do it justice.
