Reviewed Jerry's Chocolate Ice Cream
"Oh...my...god! This is exactly the chocolate flavour I was wanting. So so so good. I did what Jostlori did and heated the milk a little, then mixed the cocoa into that rather than in to the melted chocolate. Then it was a breeze to whisk together. I also put just a little less cocoa then the recipe asked for but it is still perfectly rich and delic..."

New Topic Pink Swirly Over-the-top Cake in Food Photos Forum
"I don't normally have much success with cakes (for some reason other than banana cake). But recently a friend gave me a very basic recipe that she said works every time. I haven't checked to see if the recipe is on this site yet. Being so basic it probably is, but if not I'll add it.
But for now I wanted to show what a day off work and the burnin..."

New Topic Star Sugar Cookies in Food Photos Forum
"These are from a recipe on another site but I wanted to share a photo of them. They're just a basic sugar cookie with royal icing, made for my daughters birthday party.

New Topic Storing biscuits with royal icing in Cooking Q & A
"I've never made biscuits with raw egg in the icing before. I made them today (Wednesday) for my daughters birthday party on Saturday. Do I need to store them in the fridge due to the icing? Did I make them way too early? I just have so much to do between now and then that I wanted to do them today while I had some time."

Added Recipe Photo to Baked Pear Custard for Toddlers
My name is Jules and I'm 32 years old. I've been married for 5 years, we live in Tasmania, Australia, and in the Revenue Services Department of an Energy Company. I am currently on Maternity Leave however. I have recently had a baby and am busier than ever so I keep my eye out for quick recipes that are tasty. I am also looking for recipes for when my daughter begins eating solids.
I love my mum to pieces but must say that she cannot cook to save herself so I did not learn any culinary skills from her growing up. And I ashamedly admit that I did not pay near enough attention to my cooking teacher during home economics in highschool.
Suffice to say that when I became an adult and went out into the big world on my own, I knew how to cook about three things. That's fine, I survived and maybe learnt a few more dishes. Then I got married and thought I better get a whole lot better at cooking if I was going to feed my hubby meals as nice as those his father had made him for many years.
I have come along in leaps and bounds now (thanks to Food.com!) and more I cook the more I love cooking if that makes sense. I get so much satisfaction out of seeing the things I cook turn out nicely and especially when my husband goes back for seconds! =) And yet I have still got so much to learn and so many more things to try. I've really only scratched the surface of what I'd really like to be able to cook. What better place to be to learn it all but here at Food.com.
Foods I love include mushroom risotto, Indian curries (I have not attempted to make any myself yet!),
quiche, winter soups, anything with loads of vegies in it.
