I am a nurse by day and "gourmet chef" by night :). Cooking is a passion for me. I love to try new recipes. And I get so much pleasure out of cooking for my friends and family- to me, it is just another way of showing them love.
I especially love the fall and winter, and the great foods that accompany them. I love, love, love garlic - and I sneak it into anything I can. Garlic, tomatoes and onions are my most favorite foods on earth. I love cooking with fresh herbs, anything but cilantro - I hate that stuff. My new favorite is tarragon, yummy. I am famous among my friends and family for my chili, soups, cheeseburger pie and lasagna. I am still trying to get my cheeseburger pie and lasagna down on paper, but it is so hard - I have always just thrown it together with no measurements. When going out to eat, I will always, always go for the seafood, although I dont cook it very often at home bacause I cant get the boys to eat it. I especially love sushi and any shellfish. Yum!
I try many more recipes on Zaar than I actually rate, but because I think that taste is subjective, I will only post reviews on those that my family and I really liked. So for that reason, you will never see an unfavorable review from me.
