    Reviewed Meatball Subs (Crock Pot)

"Everyone LOVED this! I did put the raw meatballs together and then simmer all day in the sauce (7 or so hours). HIGHLY recommend using Bertolli Olive Oil & Garlic sauce. SO good on club rolls with mozzarella cheese! This will definitely be in our regular rotation! Thanks for sharing!"

    Reviewed Asian Vinaigrette Salad Dressing

"I didn't add the scallions or sesame seeds at the end, and I used 1/2t of dried ginger, but this was YUMMY! Served over a salad of field greens, chicken tenderloins, avocado, and mandarin oranges."

Reviewed Kittencal's Crock Pot French Dip Roast

"Threw this in the crock yesterday AM on my way to work (BONUS points for being quick & easy to set up in the morning!) and came home to a yummy-smelling house. Served on Italian rolls.....daughter loved it plain, son added cheese, husband added pepperoncini and everyone was happy. Thanks for sharing!"

    Reviewed Chunky Apple Muffins

"LOVED these! I used 5 Gala apples diced up, 1/2c brown sugar, 1c whole wheat flour and 1c white all-purpose flour, and 2t apple pie spice. I subbed applesauce for half of the oil. I LOVE how much fruit is in these and though I was skeptical when I put everything in the muffin tins (I got 18) they did turn out GREAT! The kids love them so I'll f..."

    Reviewed Honey Lime Chicken

"THIS WAS SO GOOD!! I have to admit...I did cheat a bit. We had leftover chicken breast we had cooked a few days ago. So I cut them up, made the marinade, and then warmed up the chicken slowly in a pan with the marinade. This was YUMMY! Perfect blend of some tart from the lime balanced with sweet from the honey and sugar. A definite keeper. THA..."

    Reviewed Grilled Balsamic Eggplant

"This was REALLY good! I used 1t of dried basil and skipped the salt in the herb mix as I prefer to let everyone salt to their own preference. Next time I make this I think I'll add an extra T of olive oil...the marinade was thick (pasty consistency) and it was hard to get it evenly spread. But this was quick, easy, has basic ingredients, and YUM..."

    Reviewed Banana Smoothie

"This was YUMMY!! Made per instructions except I used FF vanilla Greek yogurt. I cut the recipe in half for just me, and added 1 packet of Stevia. I think next time I'll add more cinnamon but otherwise this was awesome! Thanks for sharing!"

    About Me

I was born in NJ and came down to DC for college. After falling in love with the area, and meeting DH, we settled in northern Virginia. We have a daughter born 02/99 and a son born 04/01. We also have 2 dogs. I am a CPA and work part time for a wonderful company!

    Favorite Foods

I've been cooking forever. I grew up in a large extended family who got together for ALL the holidays. Passover seders for my family routinely had more than 30 people...at a sit down dinner all home made! My favorite foods to eat involve pizza, sushi, black beans, or avacado. My favorite foods to cook are any food that BOTH kids will eat!
