    About Me

    I grew up on a farm in Southeast Iowa where I learned to garden, cook, and can with my mom. She always told me not to marry a farmer (kidding, of course), but I did in June 2007. Now I have a big garden on our farm and love to cook and can using fresh goodies from the garden. I work full-time, but enjoy helping out on the farm when I can and taking meals to the field to feed the guys during spring planting and fall harvest.

    Favorite Foods

    I love all sorts of foods, latey I have really taken a liking to spicy mexican dishes. I canned jalapenos for the first time, and I'm loving using them. I am also experimenting with a variety of apple recipes, since my apple trees are loaded with apples.

    My husband is a meat & potatoes guy, but will eat nearly any veggie as long as it is well cooked. This is where we disagree... I like my veggies on the crisp side, and he likes them very well cooked.
