I ran out of mayo and needed some to finish the amount called for in the recipe I was making so decided to hit food.com to see how hard it was to make my own rather than pack up and go to the store.     Reviewed Chile Verde Con Cerdo (Green Chili With Pork)

    "This is a GREAT recipe. I used Knorr chicken broth added to the broth from the pork and it turned out great. My DH told me to make sure I saved this recipe. That says a lot. He;s picky and when he asks me to save a recipe I know it;s a special one. Thanks for sharing. It;s going to be my go to when we want green chili."

    About Me

    Love to cook and bake and especially if I know a recipe is going to turn out. I'm a old country gal and have to be able to prepare meals with little notice or time. I also enjoy cooking in our hunting camps and enjoy finding recipes that work out well, with few modern conveniences. No matter what the situation is, I enjoy serving a tasty meal. I like homestyle cooking for the most part but on occasion I enjoy serving up a gourmet meal just to let everyone know I appreciate all aspects of "food". I love the outdoors. I enjoy working and playing outside. Unfortunately I can't spend as much time as I would like in the fresh air. I have to work inside.

    Favorite Foods

    I'm of Polish decent and really enjoy polish food but give me any good food and I'm happy. I can't say I know of any food I really hate.
