Hello! I'm originally from Illinois/Iowa and moved to Colorado in 1983 to find work. I've been married 23 years, Just turned 51 and it was great! 2 adult children and grandmother to 4 grand children. We have a 15 year old cat, and a 3 year old rescued puppy who really keeps us on our toes.
For fun I love to read romance novels and to look thru old cook books, the older the better. I just got an electronic e reader, not sure how I like it yet.
I also like to make no sew blankets and give them away to anyone who is in need rather than sell them. It truely is a gift of love!
Biggest pet peeve's are liars and people who don't do what they say they are going to do.
I like to meal plan, coupon and I know I am going to shock you when I tell you all that I love to go grocery shopping! How weird is that?
My family is like fudge, mostly sweet, with a few nuts!

I probally am most known for my down home cooking, green chili and breakfast burritos. I don't do extravagent, just good old fashioned foods.
I love mexican, texmex, and my favorite pizza is Harris Pizza in Davenport Iowa. Franks Pizza has the best Spaghetti and frid chicken and is 2nd on my list for pizza. Whiteys Ice Cream and Maid Rites are all foods I miss from my home town of Davenport Iowa.
Why can't anyone make pork tenderloin sandwiches besides the state of Iowa??
Biggest love of food is anything that's in season: Rocky Ford cantalope in August is my absolute fav and Palisades Peaches! Hatch green chilies, tomato's from my garden and Olathe sweet corn. Let's not forget Honey Crisp appIes - can't wait for spring to plant our garden.
I am in the process of trying to put together a family cookbook, what a huge job I've got to do!
