    About Me

I love to Eat!!! I have to cook well since I live in a town of mediocre restaurants (well there 2 or 3 good ones). I am a lifetime Weight Watchers member and have to rein-in my passion for good food regularly.
We don't eat alot of sweets but boy do we like our bread and I never met a sauce I didn't like. I used to entertain large groups often both in a sitdown environment as well as buffet. I miss it.
I just got a dehydrator to prepare backpacking food and am experimenting with meats, fruits ans vegetables. I was thinking about a Marinara sauce leather that might re-hydrate for a lighter load on my back.

    Favorite Foods

A properly composed salad. A salad properly garnished and dressed is a satisfying (yes, I said satisfying) meal. I just get tired of making them for myself all the time. I wish restaurants would "get it"!
I am an omnivore. I try to keep an eye on fat and cholestral by trying meats like buffalo or Yak. Both a nice substitute for beef.
