daughter, aunt, godmother, etc...but really, I'm just me. Besides cooking, I enjoy fitness and yoga, reading, organizing, gardening, puzzles, family, baseball, and hockey.
I eat a lot of healthy food...I cook a LOT! The recipes I post and save to my cookbooks are usually healthy and lower calorie, or can be adapted to be so.
I've struggled with an eating disorder for 7 years and am grateful for support and treatment as I continue working toward recovery. Food is a gift from God, and my intention in life is to go where He leads. Somehow this gift got mixed up in my brain, but through the winding journey of recovery, I have gained so much faith in Him, by His grace.

I love to cook healthy. I like filling comfort foods, natural whole foods, and lots of flavor! Soups, stews, anything with lots of veggies and meat. I love trying new things, but I really hate eating anything I don't prepare myself.
My favorite foods are berries, nectarines, peaches, hot cereal, egg whites, all nut butters, gluten free cereals, chicken, salmon and tuna, all veggies- green beans and broccoli, cauliflower, corn, beets, greens, mushrooms, carrots, winter and summer squash, tomatoes... I enjoy healthy frozen and regular yogurt, cottage cheese, and cream cheese sandwiches! I pretty much love all whole foods. And garlic.
