    Reviewed Chocolate Trifle

"I made this with "from scratch" chocolate pudding because I cannot abide that chemical taste of the instant pudding, and I made my whipped cream fresh, and it was delicious albeit very sweet. Everyone loved it."

    About Me

I live in Northwest Oregon. I am an RN in L&D/NICU. My parents owned a French restaurant that became very successful and I learned to love cooking from them. I'm single and have a lot of time to cook, love to cook for others, so I have a lot of hungry friends. Besides my passion for cooking, I also love to spin and knit my own yarn, read, sew, just generally create. I also love to workout, swim, sail and bike. Everyone in my family is a musician, and the fifth generation looks like it is going to keep that alive. I love all kinds of music, but I have a passion for jazz and have had several radio shows ranging from classical to blues and jazz. Pet peeves are poor spelling and grammar (I know, some of you are ticked, some are cringing). I can't help it, my mom also taught English and constantly corrected us!

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods are fresh, ripe, home-grown tomatos, artichokes, asparagus, eggplant, mayonaise (can anyone say Paula Deen) potatoes, hummus and nuts. I love to cook Indian and Middle Eastern food. My "famous" dishes are apple pie, cheesecake, cheese enchiladas and Moussaka. Every time I think I don't like a cuisine (Japanese, for example) someone comes up with a dish I like, so my prejudices have been all shot to pieces. My favorite restaurant was the old Spenger's Fish Market in Berkeley, California before they sold to the current owners, I'm still searching for a current favorite. I really like the Taste of Nature's Own in Chico, California. It's the most exciting restaurant I've been to in years.
