South Texas
I live in Texas and as you can tell by my name, I am a proud mother of a Fightin' Texas Aggie. I am married and have two children. First, I have my daughter who graduated from Texas A&M University. Next, is my son, who graduated from our local highschool and is attending a local communitly college. He plays the snare drum and was on the best highschool drumline in the state of Texas. I also have two step-children who along with their spouses have blessed me with seven wonderful grandchildren. Several years ago, my husband and I took in two teenaged brothers who had nowhere to go. They have grown into lovely young men in their 20s and have moved out on their own, but they are still "my boys". With all of this family I never know how many might show up for dinner!
Not only do my husband and I seem to collect kids, but we also have quite a collection of animals. We have 4 dogs (Emma, my border collie, is my icon), a cat, a Macaw, an Amazon parrot, 2 Quaker parrots, an African tortoise, and a bearded dragon. Needless to say, my house is a noisy, bustling place.

I love all foods! My favorite way to cook is in my crockpot. I work all day so it is nice to come home to a meal that is practically ready to go on the table. Anything that gets my picky husband to say "wow!" is a keeper in my book!
My rating system:
5 stars - Wonderful! Would serve to company
4 stars - great taste! Will become a family favorite
3 stars - good flavor, but not something I would make again
2 stars - flavor was okay, but seemed to be missing something, I would not make again
1 star - not very good, we couldn't eat it
