    My goal is to make just about everything as inexpensivley as possible.
    usually (but not always) that means from scratch.
    The Tightwad gazette newsletter was my bible for a long time.
    I read the Simple Dollar blog and also the Everyday cheapskate. I also recommend Dining on a Dime cookbook.
    We went from a high income to no income to now a modest income.
    Our goal is to be very self sufficent but not kill ourselves working.
    Cooking food we enjoy and drinking fun cocktails are highpoints of our lives.
    I'm in charge of the cooking!
