I am an American living in Noisiel, France, a town east of Paris, best known for being the location of the former Menier chocolate factory. My husband is French, and together we have an 11 year-old daughter.
I enjoy entertaining and trying interesting new recipes whenever we have company over for dinner. As some ingredients are very difficult, sometimes impossible, to find in France, it has been a real challenge, and a pleasure, to adapt American recipes using French ingredients. Aside from cooking, I am also a bit of a history buff, and this year, I finally decided to go back to school to earn my master's degree in history. I also work full time at Noisiel city hall as the assistant manager for the "heritage office", where we aim to promote and preserve local historical, architectural and natural heritage sites.
My husband and I are big fans of Tex-Mex and cajun food. But for me, the crowning touch of any meal is the dessert! I love to bake, and I'll make everything I can from scratch - no mixes in my kitchen! Although I'm a huge chocolate lover, my favorite dessert is actually lemon meringue pie.

"Tasty appetizer that's easy to make and full of flavor. My oven cooks fast, so I find that 15 minutes is more than enough baking time."
