    About Me

    I was born and raised it Oregon. I work long hours in administration. My husband will eat anything I fix for him, he was raised to eat everything on his plate. The true test for me is if my boys will eat it. I like to experiment with new recipes now that I have more time with the childred grown and gone. (Two of them live close by and come over often for leftovers). I want the food I prepare to be healthy, great tasting and quick to prepare. A month off, what is that???

    I love my dogs and my many birds. All of whom appreciate my cooking. (Although I am not that great of a cook, they don't know any better). I also like mysteries, old Shirley Temple movies, sewing, crafts, and studing history.

    Favorite Foods

    My favorite food is anything that makes the boys come back for more. If they are more willing to eat my food then to go to McDonalds, I feel like I am a winner. My father-in-law always did love my pies. Since my mother-in-law couldn't cook at all, (she made spaghetti with noodles and ketchup on it), it wasn't hard to please him. I used to love to bake, but I had to stop that because I ate the desserts before anyone knew that they were there. Now I try to stick to healthy, great tasting foods. I use lots of spices, onions, beans, and also meats with the fat and/or the skin removed. Our "empty-nester" friends seem to enjoy having me cook for them. Although I am not sure if that is because I am a good cook or if it is because they just don't want to do it anymore.
