Reviewed America's Test Kitchen Skillet Baked Ziti
"Delicious! I made this for an Oscar Night dinner and grilled up some sausages to go along with it. Me & the hubs were impressed! As I was making it, I realized I forgot the fresh basil!! Panic ensued but, luckily, I had some dried and after a little "googling" worked out the equivalent. Worked fine, but would have preferred the fresh. So easy and..."

Reviewed Arizona Chicken
"Not a wow factor for us, but still plenty good and enjoyable. Will definitely make again. I didn't pound my chicken breast, either, and I'm with another post to try it with a different salsa. I highly recommend you use a salsa you know you like that fits your tastes. I reheated the leftovers the next night and it was still good. Easy, too! Tha..."

Reviewed My Super Simple Spaghetti Sauce
"I've made this twice now, the last time doubling it for a Christmas Eve get-together. I use petite diced tomatoes and adjust sugar/red pepper to our tastes. I pair it with Basic Meatballs recipe #8060. It's all just so incredibly easy and delicious. Even my husband, who thinks "real" spaghetti sauce only comes in a jar, kept commenting on how g..."

Married, no kids. Work full time, and have in recent years developed more of an interest in cooking as a hobby. I like to get my "Julia Child" on and try new recipes for me and my husband (while drinking the wine, of course). I'm not a big dessert person and don't bake, so I'm more interested in main course recipes. My rating system: 1 star = did not like, won't make it again; 2 stars = not awful, but didn't care much for it. Won't make it again unless significantly tweaked. 3 stars = Good. May or may not make it again, and/or it's tasty but there's no wow factor to it. It's perfectly good for a busy weeknight supper but I wouldn't make it for company; 4 stars = Delicious & a keeper; 5 stars = I've outdone myself in the kitchen with this recipe!
Cheesburgers (although I don't eat them that often!).
I'm really not that particular although there are definitely certain foods I don't like or won't eat. I do like casseroles, and I like to discover new ways of preparing meats, other than throwing them on the barbie (or in my case, the George Forman Grill). I do tend to use onions in just about everything, and to a lesser extent mushrooms and garlic, too.
