    About Me

    The two most important things in my life are church and family. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am married to a wonderful man, and our first daughter was born on April 2004; our second daughter was born April 2006, and our third, April 2008. I grew up in La Crescenta, California, for any of you who know where that is. Both my parents grew up in SoCal, too, and it really shows in my food preferences; my palate was California-educated, so I don't get cravings for deep-fried food! I have a horror of chicken skin, use low-fat milk when cooking and drink skim, like a lot of spice in food, love fresh fruits and veggies (especially artichokes and avacados, mmmmmmm), and solemnly avow that there is no REAL sourdough bread to be found in the state of Texas. (Yes, I've tried making my own, but I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to bread-baking.) We've now moved back to CA, and I'm so happy to have my bread back! Not to mention produce and In 'N' Out. :D

    Favorite Foods

    My absolute favorite food is Heinz tomato ketchup. I put it on almost everything, kind of like some people use salt. It's really good on cheesecake. I'll bet you don't believe me. I love to make things like chocolate ketchup malts. I don't like very many Thai dishes, but other than that, I'm open to almost anything except kidney, tounge, liver, or other internal organs. I really love Indian and Middle Eastern food. I am famous for my soups.
