    About Me

    I currently live in St. Louis, Missouri. My family and I just moved here from southwest Missouri, but I have lived in Chicago and Southern California most of my childhood.

    I am a working mom to 3 boys (oldest is 6). I cook meals every night for my family, sometimes my in-laws who live very close by. I am always looking for new recipes and ways to update my old ones. I can say with pride that I have not cooked anything that my husband didn't love! I consider that quite an accomplishment, considering I never cooked until I got married!

    I found recipe zaar on a cooking forum and have not been disappointed with any of the recipes I have found here.

    Since my boys are getting to the age where they can begin helping out in the kitchen, I try to cook family-friendly meals where they can pitch in. Like pizzas where they can add their own toppings or macaroni and cheese where they can help add ingredients and variants. Those are generally the recipes I search for on recipe zaar.

    Favorite Foods

    My husband and kids are pretty picky eaters, so I try to stick to basic foods - like chicken and turkey. My husband and I both love seafood, but living in a landlocked state, I have been unable to master anything beyond salmon! One of my goals is to be able to cook delicious, fresh scallops and lobster tail! YUM!

    Other than that, my personal favorite foods are fresh fruits, like cherries, blueberries, watermelon and strawberries. I love mushrooms and cheese of all kinds (except Swiss and Bleu cheese).

    We are big fans of cooking everything and anything on the grill. I personally like baby back ribs, but my husband is not a fan of eating meat off a bone, so I have to make boneless ribs for him, too!

    I work in a very large office, where we love to celebrate with food. I often bring dishes that are the talk of the town. I try to vary the items I bring each time - like muffins or chips and homemade dip or casseroles. Someone is always asking me for the recipe! I find it very flattering.

    We are not too big on dining out. I think I can cook just as good - if not better - of a meal at home for half the price. If we do dine out, the choice place for my husband and me is the Old Spaghetti Factory. It's comfort food in its original scope! We also like Japanese steakhouses and seafood.
