    Reviewed Shanghai Chicken Meatballs

"This is why I don;t ever trust diet recipes. There was nothing really wrong with this, I guess. They were just horribly bland. Also, marbles are *really small*. Kind of a waste of time - my thinking is this is meant to be a dough-less wonton or something. I also didn;t really understand parsley in a "Shanghai" dish."

    Reviewed German Liverwurst Dip

"Unfortunately, I did not like this AT ALL. I used Recipe #85437 for the liverwurst, and since I did not like that either, I suppose that is likely the problem. I used a full cup of Greek-style yogurt to try to get a better texture. It was still more like a spread than a dip. I think I would like this better with a "grocery-store" liverwurst (smoked..."

    Reviewed GERMAN HOMEMADE LEBERWURST Liverwurst

"My daughter and I made this as a project to replace the liverwurst in the grocery store (Oscar Mayer and similar), which has grain-based fillers that she doesn;t tolerate well. It was easy to make. I had to grind it in a food processor, which wasn;t ideal and didn;t produce a good texture. My daughter did like this and will probably ..."

    Reviewed Italian Hash

"This turned out really good and easy. I ended up using "Southern style" (cubed) frozen potatoes because the store was out of the shredded. I doubled the meat, using 1 lb. Johnsonville sausage and 1/2 lb. Recipe #178446. I also added 1/2 a green pepper, and used the whole package of potatoes (which was 6 c. instead of 5). I added a bit of olive oil ..."

    About Me

I still love to cook after all these years, but despite my best efforts I am still a klutz in the kitchen. Right now it is grilling season and time for cold salads. In the winter (here) I like to make soups, stews, and casseroles. I hate crockpot food but it is so easy that I keep trying to find recipes that I will eat. After a trying time and tons of heartache, I am no longer in the foodservice industry. Now I am the safety manager for a small metal fabrication company. It's interesting. I am also still very homesick for Florida, but the spring and summer weather here helps.

    Favorite Foods

Everything!!! I am very fond of oriental dishes, especially Vietnamese. Also large slabs of beef, and fried foods. Chex Mix! (Anyone tried the new sweet & salty flavors?). Chips w/California dip.

That was my original list however many years ago. Not much has changed Wink. However, after knowing for all my life that dairy products do not do good things for my body, I have finally decided to give them up. So now I am looking for new favorites. I also quit drinking coffee and have mostly eliminated pork from my diet.
