    About Me

My husband, two fat cats and myself live on our 45'sailboat in SD harbor. I love to cook and my galley is large enough with freezer space, microwave, and large counters to let me play. We cruised offshore for a couple of years and my biggest challenge/joy was cooking with what I could catch and what was left at the bottom of the pantry. One family that we got to know and love made a family project out of writing their "Cruising Cookbook" and it is still one of my favorites.

    Favorite Foods

We work long hours and are very active in our church (lots of evening meetings and stuff) so my crockpot is a close, personal friend. I toss something in at 6am and meet it again at 6pm and it is usually GOOD. Anything that cooks slowly like that with some kind of sauce can't help but be great! My usual is a small pot roast or country style spare ribs or even a couple of chicken breasts. A little onion soup or some BBQ sauce make for a great dinner. My best recipes have come from this web site.
