I am a college graduate, double majored in Business and Spanish, but my work friends say I should have gone to culinary school instead. A few years ago I discovered I adore cooking but, unfortunately, I cook a little like my father. We both see recipes as a nice place to start but hardly a place to end a dish. I don't believe in "secret" recipes because everybody should be allowed to cook fantastic food. On that note, I also believe that everybody CAN cook fantastic food, they just need a little push. That's why I have plans to make a cookbook for my work girls filled with only easy, tasty recipes that either look or taste like they took a ton of time because it's always nice to trick somebody into thinking you're way more talented than you are.
I love cooking Tex-Mex type recipes. Appetizers are also a fav of mine but I hate how much time they take. Just the nature of the beast I suppose.
