I am an aspiring cake decorator who just finished culinary school and loves to cook and experiment. I like trying to re-create things I've had in restaraunts so I can make them at home! I love to cook with my boyfriend and for other people (we met in culinary, lol) This is a great site with some wonderful people and fantastic cooks, but I just have to say, theres two things which need to be addressed..
1. People who change the recipes ingredients and leave out stuff cause they "dont like it" and then give it a horrible review because it doesnt taste right.
2. PEOPLE WHO POST IN ALL CAPS. I know you want people to pay attention to you, but seriously, this is the internet equivalent of yelling, so its rude, not to mention hard on the eyes.
I was born and raised on dairy/beef/poultry farms, and I miss it a lot! And no, we dont inject our cows or chickens with anything/keep them in pens or crates/abuse them, etc- nor do any other farmers we know. Seems to me most animal rights activists have never even been on a farm even though they have no problem telling you how horrible and evil they are..lol.
I am still trying new cuisines and recently discovered Greek and Lebanese food.... :) I like most stuff like Chinese, Japanese, Italian etc. However I am not a fan of Indian food...I'm also one of those weird people with the cilantro-tastes-like-soap gene, lol.
Also, garlic is awesome :)
