Married mom of two boys. Love cooking and baking. Sometimes I can get lost in time looking at cookbooks.I enjoy this site the more I use it. Great fun reading what others have to say and all the interesting people out there. When my mother passed away I don't know what happened to the few cookbooks she had. One paperback with a torn-off cover. Couple of the standards...but by searching this site and getting some lovely notes from all over the place it feels like a little bit of her carries on through the recipes I have found. Funny isnt it.......how certain tastes and smells trigger such memories.

"I found this in a cook book years ago and it has always been a favorite. I thought I would share it here just in case that old book disappears again. Cook the carrots the day before, so they are cool and easy to mash. Enjoy!!!"
