    About Me

    I am a former maritimer, who lived in the cities and moved up to the northwest central part of BC in 1975. It is mountainous and has a short growing season. I am retired,live in a senior's housing apartment and love to cook. I have many recipe books, but favour the local Hospital cookbook, an Anglican church book from Alberton, P.E.I., and a "Chez Piggy" recipe book from a restaurant in Kingston, Ontario.

    Favorite Foods

    My favourite foods change with the season. Recently one of my daughters came home from years in the city working in upperpriced dining rooms. We have been experimenting. I love vegs, especially carrots and asparagus. Vegs are not great here in the winter as they travel so far.
    My favourite restaurant right now is my little apartment practicing new recipes. I love fish, and make my own bread.
