Retired from the business world and I'm spending my retirement with my new husband, traveling, cooking and sewing. One of our new hobbies for the past 4 years has been to take cooking classes in different countries. U.K, France, Italy, Canada, Morocco, Greece, Spain, and even aboard ships and of course many specialty and regional classes right here in the U.S..
Aside from the benifit of learning to cook different foods, it has allowed us to meet hundreds of wonderful people and to foster lifelong friendships.
I have a passion for preparing good meals and sharing them with friends and family, spending long evenings with good friends, good wine, good conversation and when no one wants to leave the table is my idea of a fabulous time.
It depends I suppose on what I am doing, we just returned from Rome last week, where for three weeks we did not cook, instead we ate out at the little osterias that are in every neighborhood, so I would have to say that Italian food is my favorite at least for a few months. You know: When in Rome.........
