    Reviewed Low-Fat Scalloped Potatoes

"WELL Nancy here;s a review and a well deserved 8 stars. This was one of the best Low-Fat Scalloped Potatoes recipe I have did in a long time! I used my food processor to slice the potatoes which made prep even easier. This is a quick restaurant tip...as has been said a food processor works great, but if you use the plunger the slices tend to ..."

    About Me

What can I say about myself that hasn't already been mentioned in the police, FBI or the CIA reports about me, they know more about me than I do? Just kidding! I have been married to my dear sweet heart of a wife for 35 ? years. I'm a VHM guy who loves to cook! Good food or we starve or go broke eating out if I did all of the cooking at home! My wife is a one great cook in her own rights, she got it from her grandmother by doing it. Reading mysteries is one of hers favorite thing to do. I Love her so, good music as will great foods too, I like to play with my food to see what I can do with it.

We have three kids at home now all girls with four legs each,OH!! dogs that is. But we do have three wonderful grown children. Two girl and a boy the best of both worlds and I continually read, watch some TV, or surf the internet for new ideas.

I love to "play or experiment" in cooking, and I'm getting pretty good at it. But sometimes the family gets a wee bit exasperated at not knowing what's I"'am doing in the kitchen. Here's a conversation that's been repeated at our house more than a few times, in the past...

    Kids: -"What are you cooking?"
    Me: -"An experiment."
    Kids: -"What kind of experiment?"
    Me: -"Food."
    Kids: -"What kind of food?"
    Me: -"Dinner."
Kids: -"But what are we having for dinner?!?"
Me: -"How should I know...it's not done yet!"
Kids: - "MOM!!! DAD!! is playing with the FOOD!!!!!! Again!!
Mom: -" Dad!! Stop! Playing with your food! so I can help! O,K.?
    Me: - O.K.!! Dear::: ( it does need a lady touch )
Than I can do my Happy Food Dance with mom and the kids !!
I love to try new things.

People always ask use to bring a dish to parties. Or they have a party which we get invited too and we wind up preparing the menu and cooking it for them. The bonus is we do not have to clean up.I found Zaar by accident one day looking for a recipe. With my wife and Zaar I may be a cook some day. I enjoy doing it myself where I can control the seasonings and ingredients. I also, we love gardening so we can start canning for winter, and pressure as well.

    Favorite Foods

Fall, winter and spring are my favorite times of the year to cook. I love rainy days when there's nothing better than a good cup of soup, stews or chili with a crusty loaf of bread. Also love the holidays with all the baking going on, The smell of a baking turkey, there's nothing more comforting than that and smelling of pies baking.

I try very hard when I to follow a recipe, but I love spices and herbs and do a lot of experimenting with them. Therefore I rate recipes on Zaar according to flavor, and changes needed to be made, if I do. I will do the recipe a couple of times.

I think all dish has a lot of potential, and I'm sure I'll will be make it again. Before attempting this again, I'll have to figure out what seasonings to use, by reading all of the review, and see that will work for others, and than for me, to make it more flavorful or lot better for me to do! Anyway, excellent to do a SCRATCH on recipes. The more I like play with my food, the more I love cooking, to make a recipe that will work for me, that is!! Than I can do my happy food dance !! I've will than added this to my recipe book with my additions.
