I love to cook, but I wouldn't say that I am a "natural born" cook. I'm always amazed at people who can throw ingredients together without a recipe and whatever they make always tastes like they knew what they were doing all along. I'm also always nervous when I cook for other people which I think is partly because I'm still in experiment mode. I don't have a strong collection of recipe favorites that I've perfected. That's why I'm here.
I lived in Germany for almost 5 years, so I have a pretty eclectic range of favorite foods. Authentic mexican food will always top the list (which in my opinion doesn't include canned cheese sauce and chili beans --although some people I've met do). I also love Greek food and German food too if I'm in the right mood. Italian margherita pizza and spagetti aglio olio with lots of garlic always sound good, Turkish Doner Kebaps, California rolls, my Mom's meatloaf, rhubarb pie and any vegetable that's roasted.
