    "This review is without glaze...because I grabbed a corner bite before mixing any and it's plenty sweet without! Glad I tried it before proceeding! I didn't have the maple flavoring but my pure local maple syrup is outstanding and the recipe turned out great with that alone! I think I'll back off on the brown sugar and try it with the glaze next ..."

    About Me

    In some circles, I am known as the "pie lady" because I often make pie...I think it's easier to make than cake! I have an extensive pie recipe collection but am certain that it will NEVER be complete! (My muffin recipe collection is also large!) I am a firm believer in experimentation in the cooking department and often give "How To Cook Without A Book" for any appropriate gift-giving occasion! I also enjoy "playing" in the dirt and find that I need Spring because it gets me away from all the extra cooking I do in Winter! My Mom always said, "If you can READ, you can COOK!" and I have no patience for anyone who refuses to read in the kitchen!

    Favorite Foods

    I LOVE bread but it doesn't especially like me. So I've learned to appreciate what little I can get away with. I will cook (and eat!) anything that looks appetizing! I will try the same recipe once per week, week after week, tweaking it until it meets my approval! Usually, my family doesn't mind! But when they do, I generally head over to the neighbors! So far, they don't mind! My downfall is still my sweet tooth which is obvious from my recipe collection...a bit heavy on the desserts! I also look for recipes for boneless chicken breasts because they are lower in fat and SO versatile! And who doesn't love "easy"!?!?!
