    About Me

I have three boys (including my husband!),and finally graduated nursing school and am doing what I love. My time is still short due to two active boys (one not so active husband! joking dear!)and a fulltime job. My all time favorite cookbook is still the Betty Crocker cookbook; my mother gave it to me when I started a home of my own, and it had all the answers to the basic cooking questions like "Do I have to measure the water when I'm cooking macaroni?"

    Favorite Foods

My favorite food is chocolate, but I am trying to low carb it to loose that pesky extra weight that we midwesterners always seem to carry.
My favorite cooking moment happened when I lived right next door to my parents, and mother "stopped over" at 11 o'clock at night to ask if I had any brownies, I didn't but I made some for her just because I could relate to needing a chocolate "fix".
The most "famous" dish in our family is my dad's meatballs and spaghetti. He charmed it away from a cook in a Cozy restaraunt in Dayton that he and mom used to frequent while they were dating. Every year for the last 30+ years, his meatballs and spaghetti has been my birthday diner. It takes all day to cook, smells heavenly, and takes all of my will power to stay out of the meatballs while they're cooking.
My favorite restaurant is anything with an ecclectic decor and a menu to match. I like to try things a little out of the norm, but not too off track-sushi, tongue, organ meat, and most wild game is definitely not on my list of things to try.
