    About Me

Like so many other folks right now, I am currently unemployed. For now, I'm simply trying to make the best of my time off between looking for work. I graduated culinary school at the end of 2005 despite a vision impairment, and run a list on Yahoogroups for blind and low-vision people all over the world who like to cook. I love all kinds of baking and soups and stews, etc. when the weather is cold, and main coarse salads, wraps, and genuine grilling and BBQ when the weather is warm. I am very strong in my opinion that grilling is only done outdoors on metal grates placed over flames or coals that make real smoke from hard wood, and NOT in some silly grill pan or a glorified waffle maker designed by retired boxers, or anyone else for that matter. I demand only the best in what I make, and thus never cut corners by using cheap, low-quality brands of food or cookware.

    Favorite Foods

I love all outdoor cooking, including real BBQ (not the Yankee definition), grilling, and Dutch Oven cooking. I also have a real sweet tooth. I'm best known with my friends and family for my smmoked brisket, pulled pork, cheesecakes,, along with a handful of other favorites. I also love hot and spicy stuff. If there's such a thing as too much chocolate, I haven't found it yet. I am currently trying to expand my bread-making skills and have done well so far.
