    About Me

    I am an enthusiastic if somewhat inexperienced cook. I get most of my recipes and cooking ideas from my little sister, who is a much better (and more adventurous) cook than I am. I'm just starting to experiment with baking, which terrifies me a little. I tend to "pedestrianize" recipes that I think are too elaborate or unusual to be workable for me, and I make a lot of phone calls to my sister that start with "Okay, so that recipe you gave me? I tried to make it without X, and it's not working, what do I do?" I'm usually cooking for eight to ten people (big family, and we'll feed anyone who will sit still long enough) so I love the fact that Recipezaar lets you change the serving number and does the math on the ingredient measurements for you.

    Favorite Foods

    Anything with mushrooms, bell peppers, or cheese. I like main courses that include both meat and starch, and I serve pretty much everything with green salad. My favorite desserts tend to involve either lemon or cinnamon.
