I am a wife and mother of three children - all in their 20's. I love cooking, gardening, nature, photography, needlework and music. I work in Washington, D.C.
I am from San Francisco, CA originally and lived in the New Orleans, LA area for over 20 years. My husband and I now live in Northern VA. I really miss the food in Louisiana but I've taken plenty of Louisiana recipes and cooking techniques with me.
I like baking most of all. I don't bake as much as I'd like though, as I like eating my preparations too much. My favorite foods? Hmm... well, aside from the above-mentioned high-cal kind of stuff, I love anything with cheese and I love foods with lots of flavor and spice. I like to experiment with different flavor combinations so I naturally gravitate towards non-traditional types of cuisine or traditional foods with a twist.
