I live in Pennsylvania.I have been married to a wonderful man for 16 years. We have two beautiful children: our son is 15 and our daughter is 12. He loves to play soccer and guitar. He just got distinguished honors in 1st marking period as a freshman. She has cerebral palsy. Her determination and outgoing personality are irresitible. She is beautiful inside and out. She loves to try everything, including the new recipes that I try from zaar. I work as a server at a local restaurant.I am able to work part-time evenings so that when I'm at work, Dad is at home. I like to cook. I like to try out different kinds of wine, preferbly red. I don't really bake that often, although at Christmas I love to bake cookies. I try to make at least one new kind each year. I think my favorite cookbook would be the JOY OF COOKING although my favorite resource for trying new recipes now is at recipezaar. I like to rent a good movie and watch it with my husband. I like to go out to dinner but I like entertaining at home better. It is work but it's nice to be able to spend the money and time at home.
5-15-11 Wow, it is amazing how time flies!! I have not looked at my Profile in, well....years! I have now been married to the same wonderful man for 23 years, soon to be 24!! Our son has graduated from College (Penn State) and he is working at his first job. My daughter has graduated from high school and is looking to extend her schooling soon. I am now a REALTOR and my husband is a strong candidate for a promotion! Needless to say, we are very blessed!
I really can't think of a favorite dish I cook. I think my most impressive dinner for a vip would be Steak Au Poive made with porcini mushrooms, bourbon and cream. My favorite restaurant would be Rillo's, a local Italian restaurant. I love Italian food.
I love all kinds of food. Lately, it has been Mexican. I love Greek food too. The Greek church just held it's annual Greek festival where the food is definitely the main attraction and it has grown in such popularity, that it gets bigger crowds every year!
In my son's opinion, it would probably be Lasagna. In my husband's opinion, it would be Meatloaf. In my daughter's opinion, it would be tacos. In my opinion, it would be something gormet to make for company. I never have a problem making a menu anymore, thanks to ZAAR (excuse me, Food.com). Food.com is my favorite website to look for recipes and I am never disappointed! I do miss the time I used to have to spend on the site.
