I am a Realtor....so finding a good home that fits a buyer is my never ending matchmaking job! I have 6 children and 4 grandkids. I love to cook and entertain, I put special focus on fun presentations and improving and updating basic easy foods.I like surprise ingredients that amend a dish's flavors, great ways to lay out a buffet. When not selling real estate, my husband and I renovate homes, so I choose colors that capture the home and design rooms to fit the way people live and entertain today.A knock out kitchen is always a must! It's all fun!....oh, and I make jam and jelly. lots of it.
Pet peeves, When you make great food and guests arrive saying they just ate don't eat it. Being used to cooking for 7 a day and now cooking for 2, with too many leftovers.
Fresh fruit in season, really thick fudgy brownies, foccacia bread and homemade breads with thick hard crusts that scar the roof of your mouth, a great hard biscotti, fresh pesto sauce with tomatoes on vermicelli, fresh corn chowder, fresh hot salsa with homegrown garden tomatoes.....and jelly Black Raspberry in particular.
Don't have a favorite dish, so I am open to trying new things. I guess I like dessert the most.
I make great pie, so That is what the fam likes me to make for occasions. I would like to get into some more artisan breads!
