"I give this one 5 stars for ease of preparation! My kids (ages 12 and 8 made this together. We used double the bacon and skipped the ham, which worked fine.I found the crust to be over cooked, so might leave the foil on longer next time. ALSO! This works best in a small pie tin, not a big one. I grabbed a big pie pan and had to add more ..."

"The kids LOVED this! They couldn't wait to get home from school to have leftover "pink cake". I used black cherry pop which worked well, though not as intense of a flavor as I was hoping for. I think that next time I will combine this recipe with the recipe for jello cake and make a truly marvelous kid concoction! "

"I liked this pretty well. The recipe was easy to follow and had simple ingredients, which is always a plus. Tofu doesn't really substitute for dairy ingredients, if that is what you are looking for--BUT for my family this one is a big winner!Thank you smileyfroggy for putting this adaptation on the site."

"My family and I truely loved this! I used my food processor for the topping and that seemed to work well. I especially liked the addition of nuts to the more traditional crumbly crisp topping."

"I made this last night. Give it 5 stars for easy to make, but I'd deduct a star for flavor. It was ok, but not what I had hoped--it turned out kind of cakey, and not so nutty.Overall, though a good recipe."

"I've bought SO much tofutti---but not now that there's a homemade option! We really liked this, and it was easy to do. Read the instructions, though. It doesn't call for an ice cream maker, and it is important to wait to add the 'fun stuff' until the SECOND blending. Hooray for this recipe!!!!"
