"Excellent flavor! To me the lettuce seems irrelevant. It serves no purpose other than being a bowl for the meat. After a couple of minutes it becomes soggy from the sauce. I would rather serve the delicious meat in a bowl and be done with it."

"Adding the fresh ingredients at the end is what makes the soup so flavorful. Unfortunately the fish sauce really stinks up the house to the point of making my children sick. I'll have to cook this with a fan in front of a open window next time. Otherwise its a very complex tasting soup."

"My hubby raved over this one. The flavor is better than what you would get at a restaurant. The sauce is suppose to be thick so I didn't change the recipe. The pepper pods added a nice "crunch" so the texture of the whole meal was great. This is a keeper."

"I've made this twice, once with ground beef and the 2nd time with ground lamb. Unfortunately they both didn't live up to a Gyro you would get if you ate out. It seems to be missing something but I'm not sure what. Thanks anyway."

"I made this several times now and although tricky to flip in oil, it taste quite good. I found that if I dip the sandwich in jam I get too much sweet flavor. I suggest spreading a layer of jam on the 3rd slice of bread in between all the meat and cheese."
