"Excellent flavor! To me the lettuce seems irrelevant. It serves no purpose other than being a bowl for the meat. After a couple of minutes it becomes soggy from the sauce. I would rather serve the delicious meat in a bowl and be done with it."

     |  By gayle #280716

"I can't believe how easy this was to make. This was the most flavorful cheesecake I've ever had. I'm in the process of making my second one just for this week alone. I come from New York and I'm used to having more of a stiff, very firm cheesecake. My family however doesn't like it that way. This cheesecake recipe has more of a creamy texture. ..."

"Adding the fresh ingredients at the end is what makes the soup so flavorful. Unfortunately the fish sauce really stinks up the house to the point of making my children sick. I'll have to cook this with a fan in front of a open window next time. Otherwise its a very complex tasting soup."

"This was so good I made this twice in less than 2 weeks. I actually had some dried northern white beans on hand so I cooked it on the stovetop on "low" for 3 hours. The 2nd time I added a can of corn and lowfat sour cream. I omitted the whipping cream both times but the chili came out wonderful. My DH definately loves addition of the corn. It ..."

"My hubby raved over this one. The flavor is better than what you would get at a restaurant. The sauce is suppose to be thick so I didn't change the recipe. The pepper pods added a nice "crunch" so the texture of the whole meal was great. This is a keeper."

"I've made this twice, once with ground beef and the 2nd time with ground lamb. Unfortunately they both didn't live up to a Gyro you would get if you ate out. It seems to be missing something but I'm not sure what. Thanks anyway."

"I made this several times now and although tricky to flip in oil, it taste quite good. I found that if I dip the sandwich in jam I get too much sweet flavor. I suggest spreading a layer of jam on the 3rd slice of bread in between all the meat and cheese."

"I don't know how people are saying that this is too spicy. My DH didn't think this was spicy at all. I tried a taste and didn't get any heat. The flavor was good though, but not a "WOW" like I was hoping for."

"This is really great comfort food. I read other reviews about the cream cheese being too strong but I decided to cook the recipe "as is" and it turned out great. DH loved it and so did my picky 6 yr. old son. A half cup more tomato sauce added to the recipe will balance out the richness of the cheese/sour cream mixture for those that think this i..."
