Hello - My name is Theresa and I live in Eureka, California (for those of you who are not familiar with CA, Eureka is about 5 hours North of San Francisco and about 2.5 hours South of the Oregon border). I just love living on the coast in this area. It doesn't get to hot and it doesn't get to cold. If I want to either bake in the sun during the summer months, or hit the slopes during the winter months, I only need to drive for about an hour. I had to start cooking when I was a teenager (for my brother and sisters and then for my children). Cooking is now a hobby for me. My husband and I love to entertain and take great joy in the fact that people love our cooking. One day we (my husband and I) hope to buy a bar & grill so that we can retire doing 2 of the things we love most (spending time with friends/family and cooking good food). I'm just so excited that I found this site. All the postings are great - and I just love how everyone likes to share their secrets - it's just wonderful.
I can't say that there's a specific kind of food that's my favorite. There's just a huge variety of foods I just love (and it shows). When we go out on the town to eat though, I usually choose either sushi or mexican cuisine. However, I love preparing all kinds of different cuisine. We often participate in a weekly dinner event wherein the host (or hostess) prepares a meal from any region, other than the united states, so that we can get a taste of what that country has to offer. It's quite interesting at times.
