I'm a retired Granny married to a retired Grandpa with heart issues. He had major bypass surgery 4 years ago so it's my goal to cook delicious heart healthy food of every description that not only he but also our family and friends enjoy.
I've discovered you can actually enjoy satisfying and heart healthy food. Most recipes can be converted and still taste wonderful. Eating heart healthy does NOT mean "fat free" but includes healthy fats such as first cold pressed olive oils, olives and avocados etc. One tip is to add a teaspoon of olive oil to your fat free cream cheese or your fat free sour cream... and don't forget lots of additional spices!
I'm blessed with two son's, a beautiful daughter, two grandsons, a granddaughter and one in the oven. Don't know what we have there yet! It's a girl!
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... Cilantro, cumin, lime, lemons, cranberries, real butter, sour cream, fish, mango, tomatoes, avocados, Asian and tex-mex... fast and EASY of course!
