"I found this recipe in Cookery for 1 or 2 by Barbara Swain published in 1978. It's great. We usually have it with Monterey Jack cheese on the top. Super easy and doubles well. Thanks for the posting."

"I also made this recipe years ago and was thinking about it the other day so I dug it out and plan to serve it next menu rotation. My DH couldn't care less about the avocado so I swipe all of his(best part. I think it might also be good with steamed broccoli instead of frozen. I could serve the rest of the broccoli as a side."

"I offered to make my Mom a pie or a cake for her birthday and my DB picked rhubarb pie for her. I've never made one so of course I went straight to the cookbooks, with no luck, all they had were strawberry and rhubarb. Don't know why I didn't try here first. My Mom loved it and I'm making another for her tonight to use up the rest of the rhubarb. ..."

"This is great, I've also tried it with a cut up chicken but it didn't get as crispy. Last time I tried it with a beer can roaster stand but didn't arrange it right so the breast was not as crisp, I will arrange it better next time. I also use a large zip lock bag instead of a bowl, just don't let the squimish see it in the fridge."

"Our family really liked this. I did make a few changes however. I used Progresso Italian Style bread crumbs and added 1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese to the crumbs. I also left out the tomatos and used Ragu Robusto® Spaghetti sauce with saute onions and garlic in place of the marinara sauce. I also used a whole jar of the Ragu so we had more sauce for a ..."

"We have a keeper! The only change I made was to sub. the Port wine, don't have any and I don't like to buy a whole bottle for a first time dish, sooo... I added 1/2 c sugar to a cup Cabernet and reduced it to a simple wine syrup. It was a little too sweet but still did well. If I don't get any Port for the next time I make this I will reduce the s..."

"I found these last night while searching for a spiced cookies recipe I used to have. Made a batch last night to try out then made a second batch today to give my DB & DSIL. I didn't have any sweet butter and not enough of the other so I used Butter-flavored Crisco. They came out great although I only got 32 out of the batch as I used a scoop and i..."

"In our home this is called "Bob's Brown Sugar Fudge", I found the recipe in a Christmas magazine about 11 years ago and I tried it for my DH who can't have caffine, so no chocolate :-( which makes him feel deprived at times. It is really great (the few pieces I'm allowed and really easy. The only problem I've had is when our old microwave died an..."

"I first made this from a magazine also and at that time everybody liked it; but now my DS has decided he doesn't like ground beef cooked that way so the last time I made it I used thinly sliced round steak instead, his comment was "this stuff is pretty good like this". Definitly a keeper."
