I am a high school teacher, currently teaching GED classes, however next year the grant is done. I live in Colorado Springs with my husband.
I am a master food safety adviser/preserver, have been certified for over 8 years, and have been canning for years. I love to sew, craft, can, garden, travel, read, make soap, makes cheese, and anything herbal.
I have been "doing" water aerobics for over 6 years and can't believe what you can accomplish "having fun" in the water. I would recommend it for anyone.
My collection of cookbooks numbers about 400 now. I have a few cookbooks that I turn to: Sunflower Sampler by the Wichita Junior League, Dallas Junior League cookbook, The Best of the Best from New Mexico, and The Soup and Bread Book by Crescent Dragonwagon.
I guess my passions would be herbs and soap. My pet peeves are rude people, and people who take advantage.
Just finished by first swap. What fun.
I really have been enjoying myself, especially the "other than food" forums.
My favorite foods are anything East Indian, Mexican/Southwest, Thai, Sushi, or Cajun. I love fried chicken and cream gravy.
Famous for Cajun, and I love to find new delicious Mexican recipes.
My favorite restaurant is any good steak place. Of course any place in New Orleans, or New Mexico, or KC Barbecue, or seafood or . . . . .or . . .
