    "A really yummy and healthful blend of two of my favourite vegetables. This soup is a beautiful bright purple colour and velvety smooth. You may wish to make extra vegetables so you can enjoy them oven roasted - it's hard to put them all into the soup! Can garnish with a dollop of sour cream if desired."

A little spicy for kids (used Frank's Red Hot) but very well received by the adults. Didn't have any ground chicken so used shredded leftover turkey breast and would do so again! ..."

    About Me

    I'm from a small town in Southwestern Ontario and am a Mom to three wonderful 'Little Chefs'. My favourite cookbooks are Cottage Life's Summer Weekend Cookbook, Robin Hood's Baking Festival Cookbook and the old standard, the Joy of Cooking - all are reliable and excellent. My eyes have been opened to the simplicity and elegance of gourmet cooking through a few choice cookbooks, and a subscription to the Food Network Magazine. I love to cook and am trying to expand my recipe box repertoire. Zaar is my favourite cookbook by far. I love that I can lose a recipe and access it again and again. My computer has actually replaced my treasured recipe box. My absolute favourite thing about Recipezaar (beside no ads!) is the sense of community and togetherness between the members.

    Favorite Foods

    I've picked up some great recipes right here and posting on the site has inspired me to experiment and contribute. My favourite restaurant has to be the Golden Thai at Church and Adelaide in Toronto - order the Orchid Dinner and finish with jasmine tea - you will not be disappointed! I also like the Mongolian Grill, a great place to cook without having to cook! Many thanks to everyone who shares on the 'zaar - this is such a wonderful resource and what better way to create a community than through great food! Cheers!
