I love to try new recipes, and am always on the hunt. I read cookbooks like novels, cover to cover. When I'm reading a recipe, if I come across a weird ingredient, I'm hooked. It becomes a mission to me. I must taste that!! Along with cooking, my other passions are gardening, reading, and hiking.Life is good!!
I like just about anything, but lean lately towards Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. I prefer to cook with fresh ingredients and refuse to eat anything packaged.I am very aware of excess salt, sugar, and chemicals that end up in the end result that mfg's insist we all need. The dishes I'm asked to make most often are a white chicken chile, enchiladas, and lasagna. I also like to bake cheese cakes, and make shortbread from a recipe my mother brought over from Scotland that her mother gave to her. Simply the best I have ever tasted....
