"wow! this is the only way to go. i followed the recipe almost to the letter. only exception was i also, like many other reviewers, used a whole can of beer. my corned beef was a little over 3lbs. i cooked it in my 51/2 qt. crockpot. after 9 hours, it was perfect. i removed the corned beef, and covered it with foil. let it rest at least 20 minutes ..."

"love this!!! so easy, and can be customized to your taste. even my beet hater friends eat this when i make it. beets get a bad rap, like brussell sprouts, etc. roasting anything only makes it better. just don't wear your favorite shirt while making this. while beet juice is yummy, it's unforgiving on your clothes. another winner from anne!"

"this is the BEST recipe for brisket! my partner is jewish and knows his brisket. he doesn't like the typical chili sauce, brown sugar, beer recipe. but he loves this. i down sized the amounts as there is just the two of us. but the leftovers are just as good if not better. thanks ina. another winner! we love you!"

"LOVE this!!! i just read the review where they added extract. great idea as the cream cheese, even when left out is a little hard. my partner is not a big sweet eater, but he can't get enough of this. perfect for brunch, pot luck, or just to have with your morning coffee/tea."
