"This recipe is pretty good. I made a few changes. Due to the length of my work day it was in the crock pot for a total of 11 hours. I used 5 cups of tomato sauce and 2 cups of water. I shook some extra parsley in and used ground turkey. I used 16oz of pasta. It made enough for dinner plus a dinner to freeze for later. I think it needs more I..."

    About Me

My wonderful husband and I live in Northwest Ohio. I am an office assistant and my husband is a computer programmer. Between our jobs we don't usually have too much time to cook, but we both love to! I am the baker in the family and he is the cook. We don't have any children yet, but we are hoping to have some. I like the Taste of Home and Light and Tasty cookbooks, as well as many others. My favorite recipes, though, almost all come from my Busia. Her white velvet cookies, banana bread, coffee cake, lepkucken cookies, white chip pumpkin bars, etc. They are all delicious! She and my mother both play a big role in my love for baking. Around the holidays we would always bake lots of goodies. It seems like every time I went to my Busia's house she would either have something yummy waiting for us (my sisters and I), or we would make it when we got there. I really enjoy baking things and giving them away to people. Unfortunately, I am pretty shy and it is awkward for me to just make something and give it to someone for no reason. So, last year I started making extra when I baked and I donate it to a local homeless shelter. I've also been trying my hand at knitting for the same reason, but I enjoy baking much more.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods... Sweets, sweets, sweets! Pretty much anything dessert like is my favorite to make and to eat! Unfortunately, there is a stomach to prove it too. I don't really have a specialty dish, I just like to bake in general. Ervin's family requests the dirt cake I make and the people he works with have been requesting Amish Friendship bread, but neither of those are my recipes per say, I just make them. I am trying to make homemade bread whenever possible and I also really enjoy making italian dishes, mainly ones that feature pasta like lasagna, manicotti, stuffed shells, etc. My all time favorite restaurant is J. Alexanders, they have the best prime rib.
