"Although I'm a skilled and experienced cook, this recipe is far too complicated for the average cook's pantry - even mine (and I thought I had everything in my larder. I wouldn't buy many of the ingredients just to give this one a try."

"Anyone who felt this fabulous dish was bland apparently doesn't have much talent in the "Doctor-It-Up Department". Don't those people taste as they cook?
I think that fresh mint is essential but fresh basil would be a good alternative - especially if one adds a bit of Italian seasoning to the mix. I agree that creative cooks will find many exce ..."

"Soup doesn't get any better than this! Hearty, healthy, flavorful and filling. I liked the suggestions from "Perfect Warm-up" (1/2/08 of adding white beans - which are a very healthy addition to one's diet. Also, chopped baby spinach and orzo are delicious possibilities tho' I wouldn't add pasta or potatoes if I were adding the beans. I freezse s ..."
