It's not often that children chose a career path and stick with it, but I can proudly say I did. I, Chef Jaylin Hawkins started out cooking at a young age while being around my mom, my grandmother and my oldest aunt. It was at the age of 5 I made my first box cake with my mom and knew I was destined to be a chef. Unlike the other "normal" kids, during show and tell I bought cookbooks and homemade snacks I had made from the night before. I love creating meal that no one has tried before and I enjoy introducing people to new foods and techniques. I also love to experiment who his how I come up with my recipes and dishes.
After attending one of the best universities in the US I decided I could no longer supress my love for food and my need to cook. I then decided to start culinary and hsopitality school. I am and have always been determined to be a chef and own a restaurant. Unfortunately, I suffered from some serious injuries and my dream was put on hold. However, I am back on track and in pursuit of owing my own diner. This is a GREAT start for me.
I love to stuff foods and create my own recipes. I love taking left overs and making meals out of them I addition to making a mel out of the ingredients in my friends freezers and cabinets. My goal is to create my own recipes that other people will one day recreate and love at the same time.
