I work for the headquarters of a fast food company, in the Marketing Department. I enjoy cooking, although during the week my main criteriar are nutritious-tasty-easy to cook. I use my crockpot fairly regularly and I have a favourite vegetarian chili that I should post, because I make it once a week during the colder months.
I enjoy cooking more elaborate meals on weekends, and I try to incorporate one new recipe each week. I've become a big fan of this site, especially since the nutritional information is provided with the recipes. That's very important to me since we're trying to eat right.
I cook mainly main dishes. I'm not big on making desserts. I've never baked a pie or pastries, and I very rarely make cake. I think I'd enjoy baking, but let's say my family's waistline doesn't need it. So when we want to indulge, either someone else makes it, or we buy it. It's a lot easier to control portions that way too.
My preference is to cook main courses. I have a butter chicken recipe that's to die for. I'm pretty proud of my chili recipe too, and I'm known for making a pretty good standing rib roast or turkey dinner.
I'm still looking for the perfect pad thai recipe, though.
