Have loved cooking all my life but could never afford to become a line cook as salaries are low. But after my daughters grew up and left hoe, in what can only be considered my mid life crisis, I enrolled in culinary school and two years later began my culinary career. I discovered that not only do I love the action of cooking, but I love to create recipes as well. I began entering in recipe contests, and one of my recipes was the winner of Food Network's Ultimate Recipe Showdown3 - Hot & Spicy. I took my winnings - or rather what was left of my winnings after 6 months and packed up my hubby and dog and moved to NYC - another dream of mine. That was a few months ago and am still trying to find my way in NYC, but loving every minute. In the meantime I will keep cooking, creating, and now blogging as I have started a blog chronicaling my cooking adventures!
